A Letter from Our Outgoing Chair

This year brings to a close my final term as chair of the Oregon AWHONN section. It has been my privilege to be involved with the Oregon section in a variety of capacities for over thirteen years. Each role has been challenging and rewarding. However, my greatest fulfillment has come from watching the deep passion of Oregon nurses for the care and well-being of women and newborns. I have consistently seen your commitment to learn and grow in your individual practice and watched as you come together to improve outcomes in Oregon. Oregon AWHONN nurses are the reason for our section’s strength and success. I am deeply thankful for each of you.

As the new year dawns, Michelle Hirschkorn will assume the chair role. Michelle is a very talented and dynamic leader who has exciting plans for our section.

May this holiday season and the new year be full of blessings for you and your loved ones.
