Cultivate Innovations in Care at the Enchanting Oregon Garden Resort
by Nancy Alt, BSN, RNC-OB & Robin Cothrell-Tubbs, MN, RN
Please plan to join us at the Oregon Garden Resort in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley for the 2016 Oregon AWHONN Fall Conference. This year’s theme – Cultivating Innovations in Care: Knowledge in Bloom. The development of this year’s conference was based on attendee input received at the 2015 fall conference. It includes a range of concepts from low- to high-tech patient care presented by local and national speakers. Hands on labor support, liability concerns, a case study of an amniotic fluid embolism, and the latest research on Infant Gut Microbiome are just a few of the things you’ll hear about. Register now at www.oregonawhonn.org/registration.
The Oregon Garden Resort offers a relaxing and serene venue for this conference. The Resort opened in 2008 and offers a full service spa, garden view restaurant, hotel and event center. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and spa for attendees to enjoy. Good news! The group rate for the Oregon Garden Resort has been extended to August 25. Book your room now! Find instructions on our website at www.oregonawhonn.org/accommodations.
The concept of the Oregon Garden started in 1940 when the Oregon Association of Nurseries decided to develop a botanical garden. The actual building of the garden started 57 years later in the peaceful town of Silverton in 1997. Today the Oregon Garden boasts several specialty gardens for exploration including the Sensory Garden, the A-Mazing Water Garden, and Rediscovery Forest. Whether you choose to walk or ride the tram through the garden the experience is one you will not want to miss.
Please join us in September and take advantage of the opportunity to grow your professional knowledge, network with colleagues, and enjoy great food in relaxing, beautiful surroundings. Don’t forget that early bird registration ends September 12! §
